Hey, im a freshman coming to NU in the very near fall and I was interested in playing. I read that you said you would be holding tryouts, im coming from Long Island and at the whole club orientation nonsense I was told were not allowed to have markers in dorm rooms. I would assume the tanks would pose the greater threat but thats beside the point. My move in is September 7th and I want to know where im supposed to be keeping my equipment should I try to bring it. Another question, I may also go out for club Ice Hockey. Would that interfere with paintball?

Thanks,
Dane

You keep your equipment at Monster Paintball or at another club member's apartment (off campus).

I brought my equiptment in/out of my dorm all the time and it was never a problem. My RA knew and the only thing he said about it was we should organize a floor paintball event.

But if someone ever had a gassed marker out in the hallway that would be very bad.

I can keep anyone's marker/tank at my apartment if you'd like. But honestly, if you just don't tell them and aren't stupid about it, noone will care. The main thing is not to tell your roommates you have it, and do not let them touch it.

Also should be noted that those interested in joining the team should not worry about not having good enough equipment. If you are good enough, we will find the right equipment for you. A lot (if not all) of our players have extra stuff for sale at almost all points in time.

yes. you need to pay dues for the season ~300 (but you can earn it back), you need to pay for paint for practices (~20/week) and you will probably have to pay for some paint at tourneys depending on how well our fund raising goes.

Greg, we never personally had to pay for paint at events.
